What is spinal flow therapy?
Spinal flow therapy is a fast and effective way to heal the body from pain and illness. The therapy has its roots in science and the human anatomy of the spine and nervous system and encourages the body to heal itself - as it has the power to do….
The spine has seven gateways and 33 access points to the nervous system and these all interact with the human body’s natural healing powers. When a spinal blockage occurs, messages from the brain cannot travel through the nervous system to easily reach the source of the pain. This means that the body is unable to naturally heal itself - as it usually does- and the result is pain and illness develops.
The three types of blockage that occur in the spine are chemical, physical and emotional stress. To ease the blockage, the Spinal Flow Therapist gently works on different parts of the spine to guide the body to naturally release the stresses. The aim is to create a gentle wave through the nervous system from the cranium to the coccyx as this will effectively unblock the spine and create ease in the body.
What is the history of this technique?
The Spinal Flow Technique is a very safe and gentle technique that was developed by Dr Carli Axford, a chiropractor. Over the years and following much research, she realised the importance of both the body’s innate power of healing and the spinal wave.
The Spinal Flow technique is still not really well known; but is fast gathering momentum as more and more people seek natural remedies to their health problems- and what better than a therapy that harnesses the body’s own healing powers?
Lisa was fascinated when she first heard about Spinal Flow Therapy and has long been a firm believer that the body can heal itself extraordinarily well and since qualifying as a Therapist, she has had seen the positive effect the therapy has had on many clients.
